Hi. Thanks for reading my blog. Who am I. I’m nobody. I was a school teacher, I was a salesman and I worked in the publishing business. My life has been centered around writing and journalism. Now, I’m retired. I live in the Washington D.C. area and I love politics.
I am also a collector. I read a great deal. I make it a point to listen and to learn from the ‘other side’ of this civil war. I frequent Fox News and have been a long time listener to Rush Limbaugh. They do influence me as does MSNBC, Hemingway, Fitzgerald and Groucho Marx.
Most importantly, I respect YOUR point of view. I will defend to my utmost your freedom to disagree with me and for us to have a polite and civilized discussion. My goal is to help improve America. To make a kinder America. To bring America to its senses. We have a dangerous individual occupying the White House and we must all, liberals and conservative, be vigilant, or we will lose this thing that we call Democracy.
Oh, and of all of the things in my long life of which I am the most proud? That would be my grandson, Ben. And in that same line his mother and her mother, my loving wife of 40 plus years, Donna.
However, it is for Ben and his future that I decided that I had to do this BLOG. (I really hate the word BLOG, don’t you?)
